Kris Boyd is NOT joining Celtic

|

Despite the overnight frenzy and disbelief following the story in The Sun Kris Boyd will not be joining Celtic.

At every level the story didn’t seem to add up but the fact that it had the by-line of Iain King, Sports Editor of The Sun, gave it some strange ‘you never quite know’ substance.

After making a couple of phone calls into the ‘story’ I’ve found out that there is nothing to report on.

There has been no offer from Celtic, not even a casual enquiry, with the only certainty about the matter being that Boyd will definitely be leaving Rangers this summer regardless of what happens with the off/on/off takeover.

Whether Walter Smith remains as manager isn’t an issue either with the player reluctantly acknowledging that he’ll be playing his football elsewhere next season.

Elsewhere it seems that Diomansy Kamara and Georgios Samaras are another couple of strikers who wouldn’t be playing for Celtic next season.

Espanyol and Palermo are reportedly interested in the Greek striker while Paris St Germain are believed to have offered Kamara a three year deal to return to France.

Just what you expect papers to do, fill their pages with non factual stories to try increase their sales.
Why do people still buy papers when you know it will be full of someone’s imagination.
Thank god I stopped buying papers years ago.

Aye Tam-especially this one! Said it before in previous post, why would we buy a striker who can’t strike in big games and supports the enemy? Skippy scored against Rangers regularly and spectacularly, AC Milan, Man Utd etc etc. We got rid of him. Would we replace him with a lesser light who hates us? I think not. Hail Hail.
