Brown devastated by Rangers ban

|

Scott Brown Celtic newsCeltic skipper Scott Brown is devastated at missing out on Sunday’s clash with Rangers.

Brown was red carded in the final minutes of Celtic’s 1-0 win over Motherwell on Tuesday night and is banned from playing at Ibrox.

After two months on the sidelines following a foot operation the midfielder had targetted Sunday’s clash throughout his rehab.

He told the Talent Nation website: “I’m absolutely devastated about getting sent off in last night’s game against Motherwell.

“It means I now miss the Old Firm game this Sunday which is really frustrating for me as this was the game I set as my target when I got injured.

“I’m obviously going to be there with the team to support them but it’s such an important game for us.

“We are going into it top of the league which is great. Rangers have games in hand still to play but a win for us puts a lot of pressure on them.

“I’m just gutted that I won’t be involved.”

He’s dived recklessly into every single challenge since he returned. Some have come off, some have not. Same shit, same smell.

His sending off was inevitable; he’ll be no loss. He has the balls we sometimes lack in midfield but it’s not coupled with the natural skill or footballing brain that’s required.

Overall, a liability more than an asset, in my opinion. Poor return on our investment and one of the biggest wastes of money I have seen at Celtic in recent years.

What irks me is that he doesn’t seem to care. He’s exceptionally self absorbed. Your quotes point to someone that cares about the collective, yet he keeps screwing them with his self-indulgent, reckless behaviour. I’d get him punted, if anyone wanted him. He’s just an uneducated thug.

    Mornin’ Joe…..
So Scott is devastated?? …..not half as devastated as Lenny I’ll bet….
What is it with this eejit?? Celtic Forums have been arguing about whether the tackle merited a second yellow….
Why put himself in the position in the first place??The game is over to all intents and purposes….
Scott always seems to have to prove to the world that he’s a hard-man……he’s been like that since I first saw him with Hibs…
Time to grow up Scott..once again you’ve got it wrong….
