Loan bid for Efrain Juarez

|

Efrain Juarez Celtic newsItalian side Brescia have moved to take Efrain Juarez on loan until the end of the season.

The midfielder has dropped dramatically out of the picture at Celtic after an impressive start to the season.

Juarez scored against Braga and Utrecht in the opening weeks of the season before being hit with a six month ban from international football for breaking a curfew following a friendly with Columbia.

The emergence of Ki Sung-Yeung and recent form of Biram Kayal has pushed the Mexican out of Neil Lennon’s plans although he did make a rare appearance as a substitute in the 4-0 win over Hearts on Wednesday.

Ki’s return from the Asian Cup next week and the signing of Kris Commons will put Juarez further down the pecking order with Celtic happy for the midfielder to move out on loan until the end of the season.

Juarez was one of Neil Lennon’s first signings arriving at Celtic in July for £3m from PUMAS Unam after impressing during the World Cup.

Brescia are currently sitting in second bottom place in Serie A and are at home to Chievo on Sunday.

Coach Mario Beretta took over in December from Giuseppe Iachini as the yo-yo club attempt to beat the drop back to Seria B.

Juarez has started 8 matches for Celtic this season and made six substitute appearances.

I’m surprised and disappointed by this. I can only guess he’s not settling in or got some issues with whatever.

He clearly has potential and looks like he has the will to play for Celtic but he hasn’t been in the frame.

I always had a feeling Juarez would be a great player for Celtic but the situation worries me.

Why get rid of one of the best players we have?

I don’t know why he hasn’t been getting on but when he does he plays very well, I don’t know why Celtic are getting rid of players becouse we need them.

And for Samaras if we get rid of him we are stuck with two strikers unless Lennon is going to pull somthing out of the bag on dead line day because when Hooper was out for a while Lennon spoke about getting strikers in on the transfer window

does any one no if we are getting anymore players in before the transfer window close we need another defender and another striker and a goal keeper becouse the number one choice is not good enough

£3 million quid for a Mexican internationalist and after a few month’s he going out on loan ??.

Something has went on here that obviously Neil and the club want kept quiet.

The way finances are these days at Celtic, £3 million quid is a helluva lot a dosh.

So to make our mind up about a player after a few month’s doesn’t make much sense to me.

Look at big Samaras we have been persevering with the big man for 3 years now.

If it’s about him not settling into Scotland and the culture etc, then with him going to Italy that will not help. If this was the case him struggling to settle then I would understand a loan move to England, not Italy.

This tells me his Celtic career is almost over.

Arsene Wenger was very impressed with him during the Emirates Cup, and it was rumoured he was interested in him going to Arsenal.

I’m sure Neil Lennon know’s what he is doing here and also doing what he feels is best for Celtic FC.

We sold another player yesterday who was also expected to do big thing’s, Milan Misun, he has signed 2 and half year deal with Swindon, doesn’t mention how much he went for though ???

Richie Towell went out on loan, talk of Samaras and Crosas leaving, freeing up a lot of wages here, I hope we going to get a decent defender and striker to help us win this treble.

“Don’t envy Mr Lawwell’s job one bit”.

P.S Joey, What makes you say the current No1 isn’t good enough ?

I can’t recall many mistakes the young lad has made, made a few world class saves thou.

He’s got a little issue with kicking the ball out and pass backs, all he need’s is to brush up on those pass backs and also instead of punting the ball up the park –.

He needs to learn to start throwing the ball out more instead of punting it up the park, apart from that I hope we can tempt NUFC to sell us him, a big young goalie full of potential plus he loves it here and has slotted into life at Celtic no problem.

I also think Forrest are holding out until the last half hour of the transfer window to get as much money out of us as they can for Kelvin Wilson, from what I’ve heard Forrest want 600k, we have supposed to have offered them 300k.

And I think we will go back in for that Norwegian Striker Huseklepp the last day of the transfer window, only if Samaras goes that is.

Lennon’s team is beginning to take shape.

    Hail Hail

It’s just every time the ball comes to him he looks nervous, we don’t need that we would need someone like Given or even better get Bourc back because he gave a great save every 3 or 4 weeks and he a fantastic keeper
