Highland fling brings title into reach

|

Celtic’s youth side hammered Inverness Caley Thistle 6-1 today to move to within three points of winning the title.

A win away to Motherwell on Saturday or if Hearts fail to beat Rangers on Friday will result in Stevie Frail’s side retaining the title.

Inverness shocked the champions elect by opening the scoring in the sixth minute but a double from Filip Twardzik and another from Greig Spence put Celtic 3-1 up at the break.

Second half goals from Callum Bagshaw, Tony Watt and substitute Bahrudin Atajic made it five away wins on the bounce as the young hoops moved in on the title .
