Craig Whyte Rangers newsDundee United have told Rangers to put up or shut up after rejecting a derisory offer for David Goodwillie.

Rangers owner Craig Whyte has gone on record as saying that the striker was over valued at £2m with Ally McCoist openly talking about his wish to bring the striker to Ibrox.

A £1m bid for Goodwillie was dismissed by United earlier this week with Tannadice chairman Stephen Thompson fed up with the on-going speculation.

He said: “Rangers should start talking sensibly about a transfer fee for David.

‘If not, they shouldn’t bother us and instead should perhaps look elsewhere. Also, they should stop talking publicly about one of our employees.

“My message to them is that they know the value we have put on David, so come up with the money we are asking for – or forget it.”

Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest are believed to be in talks with United about taking the Scotland striker to The Championship.

OK, should we put a bid in now, get it accepted and then say he was number 2 on our list but we have signed our number 1 target so the deals off?

we are beginging to see a patern that will infuriate Smith, a 3 year deal at £50 a week and a chance you might get a league cup winners medal at the end of it. how does this not appeal to ANYONE? i think i’ve worked out how they are basing their wage structure minimum wage is £5.93 an hour, 2 games a week 180 minutes thats £17.79 so i was exaggeratung with the £50.

  • bhoylondon67 says:

A winners medal doesn’t have the same appeal if it’s given to save your club going bust and not actually “won” i would think.
