Henrik Larsson newsAway from his Celtic scouting role Henrik Larsson guided Landrkrona BoIS to a vital 1-0 win over Brage on Monday night.

A second half goal from Ajsel Kujovi? separated the side’s lifting LBoIS into fourth bottom place two points ahead of Brage.

There are only six points of a difference between 4th placed Ljungskile and 13th placed LBoIS who have picked up seven points from their last three matches to draw themselves into the pack in the Swedish Superetten, Second Division.

The journey back from Brage took eight hours but with three points on board the Celtic hero was pleased with his side’s performance.

“It was a very important victory,” the King of Kings admitted. “We have played well in other games but not managed to get the rewards. Now we put one of our chances away and held the lead.

“The victory means that we are now hanging onto the clubs above us and there is a greater distance from the teams chasing behind us.”

On Monday LBoIS are at home to tenth placed Jonkopings knowing that a win will take them onto the same points as their opponents.

Celtic scout Larsson ? He was asked if he thought Bangura was any good and he said yes. He didn’t exactly go overboard with his praise.

Bangura looks average, but, hopefully, he’ll improve overtime. I just hope he’s not going to have all this ‘the new Larsson’ crap hanging round his neck like a millstone. Pinochio Lawell has played up the Henrik connection for all it’s worth, but we need to forget about it and give the guy a chance. He’s young and doesn’t need the extra pressure.

Diawara was the one we really needed anyway- a big, powerful guy who can score with his head. I’m sure he was the one NL wanted. Visa problems ? We’d been tracking the guy for two years. How could we have visa problems? Just another PL fairy story, if you ask me.
