Jos Hooiveld Celtic NewsIpswich Town, Southampton and Crystal Palace are in talks to take Jos Hooiveld on loan.

The defender hasn’t featured in Neil Lennon’s side this season and joined FC Copenhagen on loan during the last transfer window.

All three Championship sides have expressed an interest in the Dutchman with Celtic keen to get the 28-year-old off the wage bill.

Over the last month Celtic have sent Niall McGinn, Darren O’Dea, Josh Thompson, Richie Towell, Daryl Murphy and Greig Spence out on loan with Hooiveld set to join that list.

Tony Mowbray paid AIK Stockholm £1.5m for the defender in January 2010 but his Celtic career never got off the ground.

AIK expressed an interest in Hooiveld during talks over the sale of Mohamed Bangaru but it’s believed that the defender wants to try his luck in England.

Ha Ha Ha – he’s usesless ! I thought the only person who didn’t know this was himself. By the looks of it there are others who have yet to see a videos that document his lack of prowess, agility, speed and common sense both on, and off, the field.

    Never, Never a Celtic player

Jos is actually a great player, had his career hampered by injuries with Celtic. Don’t see why iddy bidd Celtic fans who still believe they are one of “the Greats” can even comment on a player who hasn’t gotten a real chance. Celtic use up players faster than normal people use toilet paper. Bangura will be your messiah, but you don’t deserve him.

Fantastic player, agile, fast and a footballers footballer. Whoever is interested in him is getting a bargain!!! ?

One of the many players who don’t have the mentallity to play for Celtic. Some players just can’t cope playing for a huge club where letting in a goal is a crime, drawing is not acceptable and getting beat is a disaster.

Huge club? You’re kidding right. Celtic and Rangers are mid table English Championship clubs at best.

No idea who “scouted” him….seen Mjallby being given the credit / blame – Probably a low budget panic buy and he looks exactly that. First time I watched him he looked lost, slow, ball watcher and hasn’t improved. If we can get him off the books and get some cash so much the better.

Time we started to make proper checks on possible targets not jumping at last minute possibles pulled from thin air or insufficient knowledge of the players recent form as seems to have been the case here.
