Champions League Celtic newsManchester City have suspended Carlos Tevez for a fortnight following the ‘strikers’ refusal to play against Bayern Munich.

The video below clearly shows Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini talking to the Argentinian presumably about coming on as a substitute.

Tevez refused to budge sparking Mancini’s anger that led to the club suspension.

Later in the video clip Tevez is seen speaking to a team-mate with one hand over his mouth to prevent anyone else from hearing the conversation.

“He refuses to go in,” Mancini revealed after the Bayern defeat. “He refused to come on the pitch. What I said to Carlos is between me, him and the team, I am really disappointed because it is Carlos. I decide the changes.

It’s a bad situation – it’s important for a player to help the team. I wanted to calm everything and put Carlos Tevez on the pitch.

“Can you imagine a Bayern Munich, Milan or Man United player doing this?

“He refused to warm up and again refused to go on the pitch. If a player has a lot of money to play for Manchester City … he can’t (refuse to play), never.”
