Alan Brazil Celtic newsTalksport Breakfast host Alan Brazil completed a perfect 24 hours by lunching with Neil Lennon yesterday.

Anyone listening in to his show on Wednesday morning would be left in no doubt about how much he was looking forward to the Celtic-Rangers match.

With co-host Ronnie ‘chicken’ Irani about to experience the fixture for the first time Brazil couldn’t have built the fixture up any more for the former England cricketer.

TalkSport’s winning formula sees every presenter nail their colours firmly to the mast with Brazil often enjoying some banter with Andy Gray before handing over the airwaves to Richard Keys and Gray on the mid-morning show.

As soon as the Breakfast Show was over Brazil was in transit as he prepared for the flight north and an action packed 24 hours in his native city tweeting: ‘Must take Chicken to a couple of nice friendly bars! He will s**t himself!’

The trip provided numerous highlights including: ‘Wonderful result for Celtic but for me to hug Bobby Lennox and Bertie Auld 2 Lisbon Lions just made my trip. 2 Legends’ and ’10mins to go, the Celtic fans did the famous Celtic huddle where 55,000 supporters link arms and turn around- chicken couldn’t believe it .’

The morning after can sometimes be a bit of a let down but a spot of lunch with Neil Lennon let the breakfast duo see behind the media image of the hoops boss.

Irani tweeted: ‘Just had a lunch-time beer with Neil Lennon and I must admit for what you all may think from the outside quality bloke.’

Brazil however put things differently claiming: ‘Now for a pint of the best Guiness in Glasgow, Chicken heading for the Betty Ford Clinic!’
