Sion are set to launch a criminal complaint against FIFA as they prepare for a 30 point deduction from their league campaign.
German newspaper Blick has claimed that the Swiss Football Association will impose the 30 point sanction in order to avoid a worldwide ban on Swiss football that would see Basel thrown out of the Champions League leading to Manchester United’s re-instatement.
The 30 point deduction is based on awarding a 3-0 win to any team that has dropped points to Sion while fielding any of the six players that were signed while the club had a transfer embargo imposed. The loss of 30 points will leave Sion 10 points adrift of Lausanne at the bottom of the league.
Earlier this season Celtic were awarded two 3-0 wins over Sion in the Europa League after the Swiss side fielded ineligible players.
FIFA has ordered the Swiss Football Association to “punish the attitude of a club that is constantly trying to evade the ban by FIFA by abusing legal procedures.”
Failure to adaquately punish Sion would result on an international ban being put on the Swiss FA with Sion chief Christian Constantin now threatening a further round of legal action aimed at FIFA.

Really UEFA should be fining the Swiss FA for not taking action much sooner and would possibly have prevented all this crap. By letting them get away with for months they are committed to going to whole way.
Hope they get really hammered for such blatant cheating….they also have a couple of decent players who will surely be looking for a quick exit from this sinking ship.
