Celtic will wear their silver and white change strip against Kilmarnock on Sunday in the final of the League Cup.

Kilmarnock will also be wearing their change strip of all yellow.

The decision was has been made by the Scottish Football League who considered that the normal home strips of both sides was too similar.

In the 2001 League Cup Final between the same sides both clubs had to play in their change strip with Henrik Larsson settling the issue in Celtic’s gold change top.

David Thomson, Operations Director of the SFL explained: “Celtic were drawn as the home side, however the competition rules dictate that both sides must change their strip when it is decided that the first choice strip would clash.”

Celtic will be backed at Hampden by over 40,000 fans at Hampden with Kilmarnock only having part of the West Stand (Rangers end) and South Stand.

Hoops supporters will occupy the entire East and North stands, one third of the West stand and half of the South Stand.
