Alan Rough Real RadioReal Radio phone-in favourite Alan Rough wasn’t shy about showing his colours as Celtic beat Rangers 3-0.

In a rare outing from the studio Roughie watched from the stand as Neil Lennon’s side turned on the style.

Sitting alongside anchor man and ‘Hearts’ supporter Ewan Cameron and Rangers favourite Derek Johnstone the former World Cup star sported a green and white scarf as he provided analysis on the match.

Rough has a short spell with Celtic in 1988 but is best remembered from his days at Partick Thistle and Hibs.

Over the last decade he has become a regular on the Real Radio phone-in mixing his light hearted banter with the insight of a player into the daily debates on the airwaves.

Scottish broadcasting is characterised by the absence of pundits revealing the club that they support, in contrast to England where most broadcasters are happy to admit their allegiance to a particular club.

Was in The Strathduie and went out for a fag. Looking across at Babbity B’s there was Roughy in the beer garden, still wearing his Celtic scarf. Not got a huge amount for the big man but it was still good to see. Also saw wee Brian (Celtic says NO to EBTs) Quinn in the same place.

Don’t really listen to phone ins as much as I used to now but it was pretty obvious which team he supports between the manky mob and the hoops, glad he’s making it even more obvious now though! Hail Hail.
