SFA football newsFIFA vice-president Jim Boyce has warned the SFA to sort out the Rangers crisis or feel the full force of the governing body.

On Tuesday FIFA issued a short statement of their concern that a member association had been taken to a civil court by a member club.

SFA membership prohibits clubs from using civil courts to deal with disputes with the Court of Arbitration in Switzerland advocated to settle matters.

Despite the seriousness of the matter the SFA didn’t make any comment yesterday with former Irish FA chief Boyce warning that FIFA expect action to be taken.

He said: “Neither FIFA or UEFA like any clubs of their member associations becoming involved in legal action. If any club is not happy with its governing body they should seek to settle their dispute through the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

“The matter has not yet been reported to FIFA by the SFA but I expect they will keep each other informed. If the SFA are not happy with the situation I expect them to write to UEFA and FIFA within the next three days.

“This matter has to be resolved. It cannot go on. If FIFA don’t believe it is being handled properly it’s up to them to deal with it, as they did with FC Sion. It’s a similar case. The threat of sanctions against clubs and the national team made the Swiss authorities act very quickly.”

FIFA has the power to expel Scotland from international football and boot Celtic, Motherwell, Dundee United, Hearts and St Johnstone out of next season’s UEFA competitions.

I think in this case the SFA should do three things they’ve never done in their entire history before: they should take responsibility, they should stand up to ragers, and they should take a decision.

The sfa will make a decision . They will give them a light punishment. like , kicking them out of the scottish cup (which they would not have won anyway ).

I can see us being punished because the sfa won’t act against “ra peepel”

Its only a complicated situation because its Cheats F.C. Had it been Aberdeen or Dundee United or US it would all have been sorted out by now and we would have been applying to the Third Division for acceptance by now. Of course the m.s.m would be telling us that we can’t be expected to just get straight right into the Third Division after all the breaches of sporting integrity that we have been involved in…tut!…tut!…tut! I can just imagine the headlines were it Celtic that were the club in disgrace: CHEATS’TO SLITHER INTO BASEMENT…EXCLUSIVE!

It never dawnedon me before today, but I see exactly what this is going to be all about! The retards from govan want to take the rest of us down with them. If they can’t play in europe, neither can we. The sfa are small minded enough, and invested enough in rangers to support this by not punishing rangers properly.

I think there could be some truth in that. Whatever their reasons, they appear to be goading everyone, provoking them into taking action against them in some form or other. I’m not sure if even they weren’t counting on the dragging of heels by the SFA and SPL, or whether they are doing exactly that.

Whatever it is it seems clear to me that they are trying their best to turn everyone against them, which they know will ratchet up the Rangers fans who everyone knows are going to react in one way and one way only – threatening, intimidating and so on.

Perhaps they are trying to get someone to expel them so that they aren’t seen to be to blame for the club going into liquidation.

Although, I don’t think they are doing a very good job of avoiding blame themselves so I’m not sure whether that’s an accurate assessment of the situation. One thing for certain is: they are up to something and it may be that they are trying to drag everyone down with them, which is absolutely in keeping with Rangers Football Club.
