Ally McCoist Rangers newsMichael Fink has quit Sevco to return home to Germany.

Ally McCoist swooped for the former Stuttgart midfield ace a fortnight ago but with Charles Green unable to come up with a suitable contract Fink has packed his bags.

Despite being granted SFA membership Sevco have only signed six players while losing star names like Dorin Goian, Maurice Edu and Kirk Broadfoot.

On Wednesday McCoist said: “We have had three or four, maybe even five, trialists in and as yet we haven’t made a final decision on any of them.
“One or two have obviously impressed and that’s been great but as yet we’ve not made a final decision on them.

With less than a day to go in the transfer window McCoist is desperate to boost his squad ahead of a 12 month transfer embargo.

Kilmarnock keeper Cammy Bell and Hearts duo David Templeton and Ryan McGowan are the latest targets to be talked up by the Ibrox boss.

McCoist said: ”I saw David’s goal for Hearts against Liverpool and I’d rather anybody else had scored it!

“We need to get bodies in and David is one we are keen to get.

“There are a few others too. I’d like to get another keeper in, but that’s not a priority. Cammy is someone else’s player and I don’t want to talk about that.

“We need a handful of players, if not six.”

Carlos Bocanegra has been linked with a move to the MLS with a number of clubs interested in the USA skipper.

I can’t imagine Templeton’s “goal” against Liverpool will have a huge impact on his transfer value – Reina made a howler.

Question is why would someone who has played (briefly) in Europe, who is in a team at the uppoer end of the top flight of Scottish football, trade down to 3rd Division Sevco, who won’t be at the top table in Scotland, let alone in Euirope for at least 3 years?

  • Albhoy82 says:

Why does he discuss templeton, then refuse to discuss bell because he’s someone else’s player???? He truly is a snidey b*****d!!!!

    • Ciaran says:

It was the same patter from him last summer. He talked about players constantly. Goodwillie in particular. His behavior is a disgrace and goes unchecked.
He and Sevco are perfectly suited.

      • Joe says:

Yes they are, but they somehow still manage to enjoy preferential treatment from the sfa and avoid charges that no other club in the country can.

Me thinks Ally knows he’s fecked!

  • Stevie says:

The only way a club could do a deal with Sevco is a cash upfront deal no HP for Sevco poor credit rating.

I hope the sevco keep Sooper Sally for a very long time. His tactics remind me of one Paul Le Guen who managed a team called rangers that has now gone defunked. . .wonder why?
