Charles Green launched another attack on the football authorities yesterday accusing the SPL of being drunk or incompetent in their dealings with Rangers unpaid bills.
The Ibrox chief already faces a charge of bringing the game into disrepute for claiming that the vote to deny Sevco a place in the SPL was based on bigotry.
Despite the best efforts of Neil ‘Armageddon Doncaster and Stewart ‘slow lingering death’ Regan to ignore the rule books to accommodate Green’s wishes the Ibrox chief has shown little gratitude.
Green’s popularity amongst the punters at Ibrox is getting close to the adulation that greeted Craig Whyte’s triumphant arrival 15 months ago with Charlie milking the moment for all it’s worth.
Last week Green claimed that all Scottish football debts had been paid only for Dundee United to state that they were owed money dating back to February prompting the Ibrox chief to aim another attack on the SPL.
Yesterday he said: “We had a letter from the SPL dated May 18 saying that the money that was owed to Dundee United would be paid by the SPL.
“Either the SPL were drunk when they wrote it, or they’re incompetent.”
Green added: “I’ve got enough things to do at Rangers without having to sort out the SPL’s problems.
“But perhaps when my work here is done I could do the CEO’s job there as well!”
On Tuesday the Third Division newcomers face Falkirk away from home in the Ramsdens Cup looking for a place in the last eight of the SFL competition.

This is actually very funny and his constant attacks on the SPL and the SFA actually prove how much they are in his corner or running scared of him. Can you imagine the furore if Peter Lawwell spoke like this about them. The media would be advocating the death penalty and the fines would be astronomical.
Charlie is shameless and Sevco are showing a distinct lack of dignity and class with their constant jibes and petty bitterness. Long may it continue. When people behave in this manner they very quickly become tiresome.

Totally on the money! This idiot is running the lowest club in the senior game in Scotland and is getting more headlines than all other clubs put together. He realizes he has bitten off more than his big mouth can chew. He wnts to be kicked out so he can blame everyone else for his inability to produce a phoenix. Charlie Green is playing an absolute blinder. He has quickly identified whats makes the neanderthals tick and he is pressing the button constantly.
What he has to lose is a few fines or censures from the games authorities. What he has to gain or make that is gaining with alarming ease is winning over the plebs to throw all their money behind his sevco venture and make him a handsome sum for his involvement.
This is minimal effort for maximum return having identified words like bigotry as key.
You would have thought after Whyte this lot would have been a bit more cautious but then they let their old club die when there were warning flags for at least 10 yrs so I should not be surprised that they are such a hopeless bunch.

The question that everyone should be asking is what are the SPL doing paying money to Dundee Utd when Sevco should be paying those debts. It was part of the license transfer to join SFL3.

The letter that Chas is putting so much store in is dated, I think, 18th May. Sevco as a company did not exist until early June.
Now if the bold Chas is saying that the old club is the new club then I’m sure HMRC will be very interested to hear this!
Time for the SFA to ask the question in a public forum; “Are the two clubs, ‘Rangers’ and ‘The Rangers’, the same club simply because you want to avoid paying public taxes and other debts?”
Time for Chas to explain how he got a letter from the SPL, as Chief Executive of ‘The Rangers’, a month before the company even existed. Get out the DeLorean it’s back to the future time!
