SFA let Green off on bigotry claim

|

Stewart Regan newsThe SFA have ‘severely censured’ Charles Green for claiming that SPL clubs rejected Sevco based on bigotry.

The laughable verdict highlights the lip service that the SFA pay to campaigns such as ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ and other similar ventures that they are quick to publicise without actioning.

No detail was given on Green’s explanation for the comment when kick started a stampede of season ticket sales at Ibrox with Green already registering his disapproval of the outcome.

He told the Sevco website: “The decision of the judicial panel was disappointing as they accepted there was no intention on my part to bring the game into disrepute and this is reflected in the sanction imposed.

I explained to the SFA previously and have said publicly what I meant by my remarks and it is time to move on.”

The SFA seem just as keen to turn a deaf ear to Green with no further hearings called despite the constant criticism of the SFA and SPL.

Green suggested that the SPL must have been drunk or incompetent over debts run up by Rangers with Stewart Regan happy to accept any criticism as long as it’s aimed at increasing ticket sales.

Charles Green has his own reasons why he’s making the comments he is,” Regan explained. “But it’s clear Rangers have galvanised their fans behind the club and sold a huge amount of season tickets.

They’ve used the situation to get the fans behind them but it’s important for Scottish football that we move on now and restore focus on the football itself and look forward to league reconstruction and helping produce good young talent.”

While Regan and Green are keen to move on a trail on small businesses go unpaid as well as HMRC and football clubs throughout Europe while Ally McCoist plunges into his new transfer warchest.

From the BBC article referring to the same story:

“The company that previously ran Rangers entered administration in February with mounting liabilities, including debts to several Scottish clubs.”

So the BBC is trying to continue this myth of a holding company going bust & Rangers live on?
A joke & sad indictment of our press.

Don’t worry about it jimbo, we know the truth! The Huns went bust and started afresh! That’s a fact!! It doesn’t matter how much the Hun support bang on about it being the same, we know it’s not, and that’s good enough for me! As for the msm, they write whatever piss they are told to, they monkeys don’t have an opinion between them!!!

I agree, but the propaganda is never-ending.

Even watching the Helsingborg game last night & Davie Provan had to mention the need for European football due to “the expulsion of Rangers to the 3rd division…”

        Eh?

No entity had the power or inclination to demote Rangers even one league – let alone 3.

Rangers FC chose (and their fans chose) to let the football club go into liquidation to avoid paying the footballing debts.
Very drastic behaviour – so at least be honest about it, learn from it & move on.

Don’t live a lie Sevco fans.

If it means keeping the queen and country mob happy and a continuation of the status quo the bbc and the msm, who are in bed together, will speak and write any old crap to get their propaganda over. The good news is…they are dying as an influence to anyone with a brain.

    Is anyone really surprised.

The bluenoses can continue to try and live in denial, but they KNOW their club is dead..further more quite a few of them see that the new club will be short lived as well. Then even the most rabid will have to admit the truth.

The penny is dropping, the cakewalk in the 3rd division is proving more dificult than they imagined…Sally is struggling and coming under pressure. Let us enjoy Celtic’s success and leave them to wallow with the 3rd division minnows – forgotten and ignored.

i expect to be shot down here but i thought it was a fair verdict as it was a first offence i was more worried about how lenient they were with ally mc coist. His actions threatened the safety of individuals and thier families.
