Celtic Scottish Cup winners 2011Arbroath boss Paul Sheerin fears that his club could face a Celtic backlash tomorrow.

Neil Lennon’s side roared back to form on Wednesday with a 4-0 win over Hearts but haven’t won a home match since beating Barcelona.

On Wednesday Celtic face Spartak Moscow with a chance of qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League but before then they have to get through the fourth round of the Scottish Cup against Sheerin’s part-timers.

“There is a buzz about the place because it’s going to be a great occasion for the club,” the Arbroath boss stated.

“It’s a huge occasion for the players Celtic have just beaten Barcelona at home so that shows how big a task it’s going to be but it’s the old cliché — we have nothing to lose because there’s no pressure on us.

“Celtic dropping a few points in the league recently probably makes it even more difficult because they will be desperate to make amends for that.

“We play them in between games against Hearts and Spartak Moscow, so it’s going to be the lesser of the three for them.

“Hopefully, that can work in our favour to some degree but we’re not daft enough to think they will let their standards drop.

“They are a top class side with loads of international players so it’s a massive ask for Arbroath to get a result.”

Emilio Izaguirre could be back in the Celtic side with Neil Lennon selecting his side with the Spartak Moscow match in mind.
