The advert sees the Celtic man crumble to the deck before being treated by a physio who has replaced the magic sponge with a bottle of shampoo.
In next to no time Samaras is restored to his full shining glory rising to head a ball into the net with his crowning glory flowing in the wind.
While Sammy is a star in Greece the snarling image of irate Lennon booting water bottles and chasing referees took a hammering as footage emerged from Saturday’s media conference following Celtic’s 4-1 win over Hearts.
In mid flow discussing the game a mobile phone rang on the desk in front of Lennon with the Celtic boss deciding to answer it only to have the caller hang up.
Lennon asked who SW was with Michael Grant recognising it as his wife- who called back a minute later as Lennon attempted to continue his after match discussion.
After a brief discussion the unhappy Sharon again hung up on the Celtic boss whose face was a picture as the assembled journalists collapsed in fits of laughter.
Once the story emerged thanks to a Celtic TV clip on You Tube it attracted worldwide attention and was featured throughout Sky Sports News yesterday.
There were no similar incidents to report following last night’s win over Dundee United with Lennon emphasising that he won’t be controlled or manipulated into selling Gary Hooper unless the terms are right for Celtic.
