Johan Mjallby isn’t being fooled by claims of an injury crisis at Champions League rivals AC Milan.
Reports from Italy have suggested that Massimo Allegri’s side could be without eight players including former Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.
Celtic are relatively injury free for the Group H opener against the seven times winners but despite the reports of Milan being understrength Mjallby is expecting the toughest of tests tomorrow night in the San Siro.
“I am not going to be fooled by that,” he responded to questions on the health of his opponents. “AC Milan is always going to be a very difficult task.
“They have a lot of quality players, they are a strong team and we have to be at our best to get something from the game.”
Celtic will be without James Forrest but worries over a groin injury for Joe Ledley have eased.
“Unfortunately James is ill,” Neil Lennon’s assistant revealed. “He has been feeling that sciatica problem lately but at the same time he is ill.
“It is brilliant that Joe is here. When I left the training ground he was struggling and we were pretty sure that he would not be able to make it so that is great news.
“The scan has come back and obviously shown that he has a chance.”
