More misinformation from Sevco at war

Malcolm Murray newsThe truth promises to be the major casualty as the war of statements is stepped up ahead of Thursday’s Ibrox AGM, if it goes ahead.

Both sides in the war of the marble staircase are on the front foot as the finger pointing and mud slinging is increased ahead of Thursday’s vote.

From within the blue-room former VAT convict Sandy Easdale champions the cause of financial guru Brian Stockbridge with every mistake in the clubs short history down to Malky Murray.

On the outside Paul Murray and his cheerleaders credit the Borders banker with halving the debt of Rangers (IL) during his time as a non-executive director while blaming Dave Murray for running a virtual dictatorship.

Malky Murray and James Easdale are rarely allowed near cameras or microphones by their backers with the reasons obvious for all to see as they struggle to convince when answering questions.

Bending the truth this morning is Malky who spoke to the Mail on Sunday about how bad the baddies are and how good the rebels are.

Whitewashing his own part in the corporate disaster engineered by Charles Green he claimed: “I had the rug pulled under me, with the other four saying they will appoint Craig Mather instead of a straight vote.”

Despite having the rug pulled from under him Malky was happy to pose with his arm around Mathers welcoming the latest visionary on board.

Malky told the club website: “We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Mather as Chief Operating Officer of Rangers.

“He will also be acting Chief Executive which will allow us some time to examine the credentials of candidates for this position on a permanent basis.

“Craig has invested £1m of his own money in the Club and is committed to playing an active part in delivering future success for Rangers. The Board has approved his appointment and look forward to him pushing us in the correct direction.

“I would also like to assure all of the supporters that this money is being used for the benefit of the Club and nothing or no one else.”

Mathers temporary appointment was quickly made permanent before he re-signed in October with a £500,000 pay off from a job he was in for six months.

With transparency like that the bewildered Sevco shareholders are likely to stick with the devils they know with Ally McCoist’s 3% shareholding, bought for less than £10,000 alongside Green and Imran Ahmad, ensuring defeat for the rebels.

  • Monti says:

    Are they not dead yet?

  • Vinnie says:

Well Monti, it’s difficult to say, although the clear, truth (to your question) is YES, they are dead. (born of bastards in 1872, maintained by cheats and lying bastards during their ‘existence’ , then died wih conning financial bastards in 2012) HAIL ! HAIL ! Poetic justice
The difficulty arises when the ‘authorities’ and red-top press ignore truth to try to gain financial benefit, or continue to throw legal shit in place of justice at us.
Let’s not forget the input of Lord Nimmo-Smith who ‘decreed’ that the huns had gained “no material or financial advantage” whilst they were clearly using cheating to survive. Of course , I could go on…………………………………….
