Tony WattCeltic’s loan bhoys found out just how difficult life can be with none of the eight players involved yesterday picking up a win bonus.

While Tony Watt enjoys star status in Belgium with his goals for Lierse life in the Scottish Championship or fighting relegation in England’s League One is far from straightforward.

A few miles down the M74 from Celtic Park Mikey Miller and Paul George were in direct opposition as Hamilton and Dumbarton shared six goals.

George was substituted after an hour of the match with former Celtic James Keatings scoring twice for Hamilton.

There was a stalemate at the Falkirk Stadium where Stuart Findlay made his debut for Morton while Joe Chalmers sat the match out on the bench for Gary Holt’s team.

Mark Miller, on loan from Dundee United, scored for the home side who remain top of the table on goal difference from Dundee who drew 1-1 with Alloa with former Celt Ryan Conroy scoring for John Brown’s team.

Hamilton are one point behind the joint leaders ensuring that there is plenty to play for for Chalmers and George, Dumbarton are in fifth place a point behind Queen of the South with the second, third and fourth placed teams competing in the play-off’s.

Up a division Jackson Irvine returned to the Kilmarnock side that battled back from being 2-0 down at half-time to Ross County to earn a draw.

In England Dylan McGeouch was left kicking his heels with Coventry’s game against Walsall postponed, on Tuesday Steven Pressley’s side are due to visit Bristol City.

Callum McGregor found the going tough as Notts County lost 2-0 away to Preston while Bahrudin Atajic played for an hour of Shrewsbury’s 1-1 draw at home to leaders Brentford.

Notts County and Shrewsbury are both sitting on 27 points from 30 matches in the bottom four but with 16 matches to play have plenty of time to escape the drop.

In Australia’s A-League Tom Rogic played for 74 minutes of Melbourne Victory’s 1-1 draw away to Perth Glory.

The good thing is they will all be getting valuable game time in matches that matter.
Here’s hoping they all come back better players for having the experience and then go on to make the grade.

Somebody on twitter said Tom Rojic was man of the match.
