Dinamo Zagreb fired out a five goal warning to Celtic with a resounding win over FC Astra.
The Croatian side visit Celtic on October 2 full of confidence after a first half hat-trick from El Arbi Hilal Soudani put Astra to the sword in a convincing 5-1 home win.
Algerian international Soudani scored twice in a seven minute spell midway through the first half before completing his hat-trick jut before the interval.
Responding to the draw in Salzburg Dinamo coach Zoran Mamic said: ” This is good news, the best outcome for us. This group won’t be easy but after one match we are the favourites in the group.
“This is the best Dinamo team in the last 10 years and we have to continue at this pace, we can get 20% stronger.”
Soudani opened the scoring by guiding a header into the bottom corner on 17 minutes after a cross from Ivo Pinto then met Domagoj Antoli?’s corner at the near post to double the deficit.
Right on half-time Soudani finished off a flowing move from close range with Dinamo converting all three shots on target during the first half.
On-loan Manchester United striker Ángelo Henríquez scored in the 70th minute just three minutes after coming on as a substitute. Astra substitute Aurelian Chi?u scored a consolation in the 82nd minute but in stoppage time Ante Coric restored Dinamo’s four goal advantage.
