Celtic’s forgotten strikers are in demand across Europe.
Despite having no future under Ronny Deila, Teemu Pukki and Amido Balde are wanted in Belgium, Denmark and Finland.
After days of negotiating with Vitoria Giumares about taking Balde on loan the striker is on his way to Belgium with Beveren the location despite earlier interest from Lokeren,
Balde hasn’t featured in any competitive games under Deila but seems to have admirers in Belgium where he previously played for Cercle Brugge.
In twenty SPFL appearances last season, 17 as a substitute, Balde scored three goals after his £1.25m transfer last summer.
Pukki seems destined for a loan spell at Brondby of Denmark although HJK Helsinki have also expressed an interest in taking him on loan.
Despite making a scoring debut at Hearts last season Pukki never came close to offering a realistic alternative to Gary Hooper. Of his seven goals four of them came against Hearts and Hibs.
The first deal of the day saw Holmbert Fridjonsson move out to Brondby on loan with the Danish side hoping to add Pukki later in the day.
Fridjonsson signed during the January transfer window but never made a top team appearance and struggled to make an impact in the development side.
The departure of those three players on loan is unlikely to make any difference to Deila’s striking options with Anthony Stokes and Leigh Griffiths competing for the role of sole striker.
