PukkiTeemu Pukki and Holmbert Fridjonsson were on target last night as Brondby drew 2-2 away to Esbjerg.

Pukki opened the scoring in the first minute of the second half but within three minutes Esbjerg hit back with goals from Hans Andreason and Magnus Lekven.

In the 74th minute Fridjonsson was introduced and scored the equaliser five minutes later leaving Brondby sitting in mid-table with 11 points from nine matches.

Those goals made it a much better week for the loan Celts after none of the seven bhoys out on loan the previous managed even a draw.

Pride of place among the loan bhoys goes to Marcus Fraser and Jackson Irvine who helped their teams to much needed wins.

Fraser was in the centre of defence as Cowdebeath earned their first win of the season beating Queen of the South 2-1 to take them to just two points behind second bottom Hibs.

There was similar joy in Dingwall for Irvine as Ross County beat Dundee 2-1 to give the club their first points of the season to draw level with St Mirren at the foot of the table.

Fraser and Irvine aren’t without familiar faces at their new clubs with Lewis Toshney joining Ross County and Robbie Thomson in goals for Cowdenbeath.

In League Two the Clyde debut of Barry Ferguson didn’t help Clyde much with Aiden McIlduff having to settle for a 1-1 draw from the visit of Annan to Cumbernauld.

Over in Belgium Amido Balde was on the wrong end of a 2-0 defeat as Beveren lost out away to Mechelen.
