IzaguirreRonny Deila is confident that Emilio Izaguirre hasn’t suffered another ankle break.

The Celtic defender suffered a sickening injury in the 50th minute following an x-rated challenge from Michael Gardyne that went unpunished by referee Bobby Madden.

After a four minute delay play restarted after the Honduran left the pitch on a stretcher to be replaced by Adam Matthews.

It was the only set back on a day when Celtic hit top form burying Ross County 5-0 with the first four goals coming in a devastating 18 minute spell.

“I think it is ok, we have to take a picture (x-ray) of things,” Deila told Sky Sports. “It was the same ankle he broke a couple of years ago.

“I think he maybe got a little bit scared but I think he’ll be fine and hasn’t broken it.”

Looking at his sides impressive performance Deila added: “That was really pleasing, the boys worked really hard, they were ready for the game and wanted to bounce back from the last game.

“The first half was good quality passing and deliveries from set play’s, it could have been more but I’m very pleased with 5-0.

“We have a lot of goalscorers at the club, the last match was a little problem but if we continue to create so many chances we will win games, today we had a lot of chances and could have had more goals if we had pushed on more in the second half.

“We have high standards, today in the first half we showed how good we can be, I’m very pleased.
