Charles GreenShare dealing in Sevco could be suspended after Daniel Stewart, Nominated Adviser (NOMAD) to the club, had their own shares suspended by the Stock Market.

Without a NOMAD Sevco could find dealing in their own shares suspended through no fault of their own.

An announcement this morning confirmed the sanction on Daniel Stewart who were hand picked by Mr Charles Green to handle Sevco’s regulatory matters.

The statement read: “Daniel Stewart Securities PLC Wednesday said its shares have been suspended because it has been unable publish its annual results for the year to March 31 within six months of the year-end as required.”

If share dealing in Sevco is suspended the troubled club will be unable to have any more share issues which could put the future of the club in doubt.

Last month the League One champions raised £3.13m, before costs, from a share issue only available to existing shareholders.

After repaying £1.5m in emergency loans to Mr Sandy Easdale and Mr George Letham the finances of the club will again be under pressure with no overdraft facilities available.

Running parallel to the suspensions of Daniel Stewart Sevco have still to publish their annual accounts to the year ending 30 June 2014.

In the interim accounts published in March auditors Deloittes recorded their concerns about the future of the club without a significant rise in income, mainly through season ticket sales.

With over 15,000 fans walking away from their season ticket the club is heavily reliant on match by match ticket sales which are averaging around 7,000 per game.

If the club is forced into administration the football authorities will have to finally announce whether Sevco are a new club or a continuation of Rangers who went into liquidation in 2012.

A new club would be handed a 15 point deduction for administration while a club going into administration for a second time would be deducted 25 points.

So far the SFA have avoided any comment on the status of the current club from Ibrox although Dundee United were only required to pay a two year development fee for the transfer of Charlie Telfer in the summer.
