Celtic’s League Cup semi-final with Sevco will be played at Hampden on Sunday February 1 with a 1.30pm kick off.
Four weeks after the draw was made the SPFL have finally announced the dates of the semi finals with the Aberdeen v Dundee United match being played the day before with a 3pm kick off.
SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster announced: “We are pleased to be able to announce the information for this season’s Scottish League Cup semi-finals, following agreement with all four clubs and other parties involved, including our valued broadcast rights holder for the competition, BBC Scotland.
“We are all looking forward to two fantastic semi-finals at Hampden Park early next year and hope supporters of all four clubs enjoy lots of entertaining football and two memorable occasions overall.”
Negotiations have been going on with Police Scotland, BBC Scotland and the four clubs over the last four weeks to come up with a schedule that suits as many people as possible.
The matches will be played on the weekend that the transfer window closes with all of the clubs expected to be heavily involved in transfer business- especially Sevco
Following agreement with all four competing clubs, ticket prices across both games have also been set, with 34,000 tickets for each semi-final – around 68,000 in total – available at £25 for adults and £10 for juveniles (under-16s).
The £25 price points are applicable to the North Stand, East Stand and West Stand and the £10 ticket option to the East Stand and West Stand areas of The National Stadium.
All of the income from the two matches will be pooled and split among the four competing clubs with the SPFL and Queens Park also catered for for arranging and hosting the matches.
