GuidettiRonny Deila has vowed to get John Guidetti back to top form.

The striker was substituted during the stalemate against Ross County and hasn’t scored during December.

Deila is at pains to point out that Guidetti has missed out on two years of his career through injury but seems confident that the Swede will come good despite his form slump in front of goal.

“He is struggling at the moment, you can see that,” the Celtic boss stated. “The only people who can do something about that is us so we have to work hard in training every day and see what we can do to get it going.

“We know that he can score goals, he has done it before. He hasn’t become a bad player in a month. It is just small details that we are going to have to turn around.

“He will come back. My challenge, and his as well, will be to get that back as quickly as possible.”

Ross County certainly hadn’t travelled south to be entertained and went about the 90 minutes meaning business.

Celtic were restricted to few clear cut chances with most crosses into the box dealt with comfortable.

After a strong run of wins in autumn Celtic lacked the craft and guile to get through their opponents

“We had the ball for 90 minutes but we didn’t manage to break them down,” Deila added. “We had so much possession we had to create more and that is what is disappointing today.

“We have opened a lot of teams and created a lot of chances but this time we didn’t do it. That was most disappointing part.”

Aberdeen can cut Celtic’s lead at the top of the table down to two points of they win tomorrow at Inverness Caley Thistle.
