Ronny DeilaRonny Deila will face his toughest selection as Celtic manager when he picks his team for Sunday’s League Cup semi-final.

After eight months in charge all eyes will be on the Norwegian to see how his side fare at the National Stadium against Championship outfit Sevco.

Deila’s toughest choice will be which striker leads the line with John Guidetti and Leigh Griffiths vying for the role.

In defence Mikael Lustig could displace Adam Matthews but with only Charlie Mulgrew missing from the top team squad picking his first XI will test the hoops boss to the full.

“This is a game that you want to pick everybody, it’s going to be tough for me and the other coaches to make our selection,” Deila told Celtic TV.

“It’s about a team not individuals, we perform as a team, then we will be ready, there are a lot of big games coming up and everyone is going to be involved.”

After a wobble at Christmas time Celtic have started the new year with four consecutive victories without losing a goal.

“You get confidence from good results and good performances,” Deila added. “Lately we have won 14 of our last 16 matches and that is quite good.

“If we can keep on doing that then we know that we have a good chance of winning the trophies that we want to win.

“We know why we have won those matches and that gives us confidence, we know what we can do better and will be very focused on every game.”
