Neil Lennon has revealed that he’s finding it hard to resist the lure of Celtic’s League Cup semi-final with Sevco.

Shortly after the draw was made the Bolton boss vowed that he’d watch the match at home with his family.

With the clock ticking towards Sunday’s Hampden clash the former hoops boss admits that looking on from 200 miles away could prove too difficult for him.

“I said earlier that I wouldn’t but I might go to the match,” he said in an interview with STV Glasgow. “There’s still something intoxicating about it, I don’t know, maybe I’d be better off just sitting in front of the telly watching it.

“No matter what the situation it’s going to be fascinating viewing for neutrals and both sets of supporters to see how their teams react to the build up and then actually playing the game itself.”

Lennon quit as Celtic manager in June 2014 but wouldn’t rule out eventually returning to the club that he guided to three consecutive titles.

“There’s no question I would go back,” he added. “I’m not saying it will ever happen, but if the opportunity came along and I was ready for it, I wouldn’t have any hesitation. There is a huge part of me that will always have an affinity with the club.

“It was tumultuous, it was exciting, it was breathtaking at times, it was everything you wanted it to be. There were feelings that you will probably never replicate again in your life.

“There were scenes that you could never replicate in your life at any other club or any other environment. And I’m talking about the big two, those games. I’ve been very lucky and fortunate to be the manager of Celtic and to have been successful in doing so.”
