DeilaRonny Deila has hit out at Sky’s coverage of Scottish football and questioned whether we could be looking at a 10am kick off time.

Celtic fans are long used to 12.30 and 12.45 kick-off’s at Aberdeen, Ross County and Inverness Caley Thistle as the SPFL match is shoe horned in around the scheduling of ‘more glamorous’ fixtures.

Tomorrow, the timing of the SPFL’s biggest game of the season, has been determined by the Old Farm derby between Anglian giants Norwich City and Ipswich Town.

The recent broadcasting deals announced by the English Premier League highlight the weaknesses of the Scottish arrangements with Deila far from happy with tomorrow’s scheduling.

“I understand it is the media controlling it,” the Celtic boss said. “Because they want to have it on Sky Sports, we have to play before everyone else in England because that is the most important thing.

“But when does it stop? Are we going to play at 10 o’clock soon? We have to think of the fans, as well.

“At three o’clock more people come and it would be a bigger game. This is a big game in Scotland and it should be the prime time slot on television.

“Do Celtic and Aberdeen deserve more respect? I think so. I don’t think there will be 50,000 at that game down there.

“It’s a huge game, the support is unbelievable and the interest is very good. I think 12 o’clock isn’t good.”

Celtic’s midweek match against St Johnstone on Wednesday won’t be televised live.
