Roberto ManciniRoberto Mancini believes that Inter Milan’s 3-0 win over Palermo confirms that the club is moving in the right direction.

The victory ended a three match run of defeats but Mancini feels that there were signs in those games that his side were getting things right.

Inter have just one more match, on Sunday away to Atalanta, before they face Celtic with their manager upbeat about the condition the team are in.

“We hope the patient has finally healed,” Mancini told the Inter website. “But we must continue to train hard. We played a great game against Palermo and things are starting to turn for the better for us.

“It’s clear that when you win, things seem different but the fact is that we had done well in other games before this one. The only difference is that we won against Palermo.

“I believe in recent weeks we have done better than our results suggested and I’m sorry for my players because I really have seen them work hard in training. We still have to improve.”

Celtic fans are familiar with the San Siro having played rivals Milan four times in the last ten seasons but changes are underway in the city.

Milan have announced plans to build a new stadium for their sole use giving Inter the chance to have sole ownership of the San Siro which is officially titled the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The stadium has a capacity of 80,018 and has been shared between the two clubs since construction in 1947.
