Bolton Wanderers - Neil Lennon Press ConferenceNeil Lennon couldn’t hide his despair after another stoppage time goal cost Bolton dearly.

Four minutes into added time Jordan Rhodes, a signing target for the Bolton boss when he was in charge of Celtic, scored the only goal of the game for Blackburn Rovers to leave their Lancashire rivals very much in the relegation dogfight.

After the initial boost created by Lennon’s arrival a batch of injuries has contributed to a poor run of results that are testing the patience of the Irishman.

“It’s unacceptable, that’s five games in the last month,” Lennon said about his side’s habit of losing late goals. “It’s cost us seven points when we should be home and hosed so we still have a bit of work to do.

“I set the team up to be hard to beat and resolute but once again it must be a mentality thing; the last kick of the game.

“We would be seven points better off if we had defended right and to tell you the truth, I don’t know what to do, I don’t know where the players go in their heads. It’s not bad luck that it’s happened again”

On Saturday Bolton are at home to Millwall who have just replaced Ian Holloway as manager by with Neil Harris.

Blackpool, Wigan and Millwall look detached at the bottom but none of the sides above them will be taking anything for granted.

Bolton are ten points clear of Wigan and Fulham with ten matches left to play- taking full points from the Londoners on Saturday will be just the result that Lennon is looking for.
