WattA video clip of Tony Watt running down the clock has gone viral as the former Celtic striker’s popularity at Charlton goes through the roof.

Last month the London club grabbed the headlines with a steamy clip of a couple ‘Scoring at the Valley’ which has been viewed over a million times. After two days the clip of Watt is on course to give the club even more attention with over 200,000 views on You Tube.

Leading 2-1 against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, Watt decided to run the clock down by taking the ball to the corner flag. Playing to the gallery and testing the patience of the Forest defenders to the max Watt managed to use up over two minutes as he helped his side to victory.

With four wins from their last five matches manager Guy Luzon is delighted with the way his side are playing.

“I’m very proud to be the coach of this team,” the Chalton boss said. “My job is only to give them good advice, but they did great on the field. They had the character first and then the quality.

“I’m very happy and delighted with our performance, every game we play we show a lot of character and quality.

“Nottingham Forest came here after a very good run with five wins and one draw and we knew how to beat them, so I’m happy.”

On Saturday Charlton, who are sitting in 12th place in the Championship, are away to Cardiff City where David Marshall will be looking to keep Watt and Co quiet.
