Ronny DeilaAfter watching his side take a massive step towards winning the title Ronny Deila identified three key areas that turned the match against Aberdeen.

For more than half an hour Celtic toiled to shake off the hangover of their Europa League exertions from Milan.

The high tempo, passionate game that Deila has preached since he replaced Neil Lennon was marked absent as Celtic struggled to put passes together never mind threaten the Aberdeen goal.

Once Scott Brown in the Dons goal was put under pressure he crumbled. A rushed clearance under pressure from Gary Mackay-Steven ended in a corner where he appeared intimidated by Leigh Griffiths as Jason Denayer headed powerfully home from within the six yard box.

After the break Celtic could have scored five or six goals with the pain of Milan eased into the background as the hoops turned on the style to power their way towards the title.

“In the second half we were disciplined, organised, balanced, moved the ball quicker and they couldn’t cope with the runs we had behind them,” the Celtic boss stated. “I am so happy for the performance and the result and I am proud of the boys.

“It is so hard to play so many games like we are doing now. We didn’t arrive in Glasgow until 3am on Friday morning, that is a tough one when you are going to play two days later.”

After a testing period of four games in eight days Celtic face St Johnstone at home on Wednesday before a trilogy of matches against Dundee United.

Four wins in their next four matches will pave the way towards a treble triumph with three qualities critical to the team’s success- discipline, organisation and balance.
