Tony WattTony Watt sparked a Charlton comeback as the London side beat Leeds 2-1.

The striker scored in the 75th minute to cancel out Stephen Morrison’s first half opener.

Yoni Buyens scored the winner from the penalty spot with ten minutes left to play to lift Charlton onto 60 points and 10th place in the Championship.

With five goals since moving from Standard Liege in January the former Celtic striker has proved his worth and is already a firm favourite with the supporters at The Valley.

“The strikers changed the rhythm and the tempo,” manager Guy Luzon said after the match. “They were more efficient in the second half. We scored good goals but there is still a lot of space to improve.

“Igor (Vetokele) played with a lot of passion and determination and the second goal was an easy one from the penalty because he smelled the situation and as a striker he knew what to do.”

Luzon added: “I did not like the tempo and the rhythm that they showed in the first-half. We spoke in the dressing room that we had to change the rhythm if we wanted to come back to win the game.

“We had to play with more passion and aggression and the players did it well in the second half. It’s not the first time that we have changed a result, and it shows good character in the team. We need to continue like that and finish the season with a good taste.”

Elsewhere in the Championship Neil Lennon’s Bolton drew 2-2 at Brentford while Wigan still retain a chance of avoiding relegation after Gary Caldwell’s side beat Brighton 2-1.
