red cardBungling Graham Chambers will be in the European spotlight on Wednesday night when Monaco attempt to overturn a 1-0 defeat from Juventus in Turin last week.

Chambers was at the centre of the stormy Dundee United v Celtic Scottish Cup tie last month when he charged onto the pitch to stop play.

On his advice Virgil van Dijk and Paul Paton were sent off with both decisions overturned on appeal to the SFA.

With referee Craig Thomson waving play on after a clash between Scott Brown and Nadir Ciftci, Chambers raced onto the park to separate van Dijk and Calum Butcher. Despite identifying Butcher and taking him aside Paton was red carded on the say-so of Chambers.

With the replay 10 days later at Celtic Park the SFA brought in a completely different team of officials with Calum Murray red carding Anthony Stokes and Ryan McGowan.

Despite that horror showing Chambers will run the line in the Champions League on Wednesday as Juventus attempt to make it through to the last four of the elite competition.

Willie Collum will referee the match, despite having two red cards against Kenny McLean and Stephen McManus in consecutive games overturned on appeal by the SFA.

Kevin Clancy, Bobby Madden and Damien MacGraith from Ireland will also be on duty at the match.

In the first leg Ricardo Carvalho was the only player booked by Czech referee Pavel Kralovec with the only goal coming from Arturo Vidal from the penalty spot in the 57th minute of the game.
