spflFalkirk boss Peter Houston launched an astonishing attack on the time keeping skills of referee Euan Anderson after his side drew 2-2 with Sevco at Ibrox.

The visitors were leading 2-0 just past the hour but a goal from £1,000-a-week Newcastle United starlet Haris Vuckic changed the complexion of the match.

There had been no obvious stoppages in the match but Anderson, whose brother never played for Rangers, Motherwell or Falkirk, or mistakenly played for Northern Ireland’s u-21 side, found over three minutes of added time during which Nicholas Law scored to salvage a precious point for the League One champions.

It almost felt like we had to play until Rangers scored,” Houston claimed in a comment that will almost certainly land the former Scotland assistant manager with a charge from the SFA.

I don’t know where he got the extra time from because he told our players there were 90 seconds to go and we went up the park three times after that.

Anyway, I’ll take the positives from it which were our performance and our counter-attacking.

We could have scored two more goals and I’m disappointed to concede late on but we’re a work in progress. We’ve got good players who have shown that in an arena like Ibrox.”

The point leaves Sevco in third place going into their final match at Tynecastle next week knowing that even a win over runaway champions Hearts will be meaningless if second placed Hibs win at Falkirk.

Ibrox skipper Lee McCulloch was the target of the boo-boys at Ibrox with Stuart McCall clearly upset by the treatment dished out to his skipper.

I was very sad and sickened to hear it at the time,” the former Motherwell supremo said. “As disappointing as it was to hear, I know frustrations have grown but I’m glad it was turned around because it would have been difficult for the younger lads to hear. It’s not nice to hear that.

It’s happened and we have to move on. I’ve not spoken to Lee but he had a great header near the end which produced a world-class save from their keeper.

That would have been justice for Lee had it gone in. At their second goal, John Baird just pressurised Lee and we got punished for our mistakes. That’s life.”

Professional apologist Kenny Clark is unlikely to relaunch his media career again despite Houston’s comments.

Houston was Craig Levein’s assistant manager when Dundee United lost 3-1 at Ibrox in April 2008 in one of the last top flight matches refereed by Mike McCurry.
