Luke DonnellyLuke Donnelly and Conor McManus have signed two year extensions to their Celtic contracts.

Both players are in the 96 group and featured significantly in last week’s SFA Youth Cup win at Hampden with Donnelly scoring the third goal in the 5-2 rout.

McManus captained Celtic to the trophy, playing alongside Jamie Lindsay in the holding midfield role with Donnelly in the central attacking midfield position.

Last season McManus shot to online fame with an incredible long range goal against AC Milan in the u-19 Champions League while Donnelly made a big impression on loan at East Stirling in the season just closed.

With the transfer window opening on Monday a number of deals are underway involving former Celtic players.

Robbie Thomson and Ryan Conroy will join Queen of the South with James Fowler signing up both players after seeing his side in action against them this season.

James Keatings won’t have to look too far for a new club after agreeing to mutually terminate his Hearts contract after a season at Tynecastle. Having been involved in five championship wins and one promotion in the last six seasons there will be plenty of interest in the striker.

Scott Fox, a member of the 2006 double winning youth side alongside Conroy, has left Partick Thistle to sign a two year deal with Ross County.

County boss Jim McIntyre said: “”I’m delighted to add a goalkeeper of Scott’s calibre to the squad. He’s a player I’ve admired for a long time, very much a modern day keeper.

“He’s good with the back pass, kicks the ball well and has a safe pair of hands.”

Earlier in the week Michael Gardyne signed for the Dingwall club on a two year deal from Dundee United, Gardyne was on loan to the club from United after switching to Tannadice three years ago.
