Henning Burg – Blackburn Rovers (57 days)Whinging Legia Warsaw lost out on the Polish title by a single point today.

Henning Berg’s team beat Gornik Zabrze 2-0 at home but a 0-0 home draw for Lech Poznan against Wisla Krakow meant that the title, and a place in the Champions League qualifiers goes to Poznan.

Legia had been front runners for most of the season but lost their nerve after the split and will have to contend themselves with a place in next seasons Europa League.

Goals in the 15th and 56th minutes ensured a win for Legia in front of 16,553 fans but Wisla were unable to come up with a goal as Lech hung on to take the title by a point..

Lech could be Celtic’s third qualifying round opponents in the Champions League with the draw taking place in two weeks time.

Celtic will be one of five seeded teams in each of the three qualifying rounds as Ronny Deila attempts to take the hoops into the most lucrative Champions League competition ever with over £20m guaranteed for reaching the group stage.

In the second qualifying round Celtic are likely to face New Saints of Wales, Dundalk or Stjarnan of Iceland with the Welsh champions the highest ranking team at that stage.

Should Celtic progress they are likely to face Scandinavian opponents in the third qualifying round before the all important final qualifier.

Apoek Nicosia (Cyprus), Bate Borisov (Belarussia), Ludogorets Razgrad (Bulgaria), Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) and NK Maribor lie in store in the unlikely event that the seedings go to plan.
