LOGAN BAILLY

New Celtic goalkeeper Logan Bailly was once dubbed Superman during his time at Borussia Moenchengladbach.

With Lucasz Zaluska leaving at the end of last season the 29-year-old Belgian will provide cover for Craig Gordon with Celtic’s opening Champions League tie just over a week away.

Moenchengladbach paid Genk £1.4m for the keeper in 2008 and he soon made his mark with the Bundesliga club.

In the second video clip below Bailly reveals his blue Superman t-shirt before performing an Efe Ambrose type sommersault.

After a brief spell back at Genk he moved on to OH Leveun who announced this afternoon that a deal had been completed for the keeper to move to Celtic with the fee believed to be in the region of £300,000.

Following two season’s in the top flight OH were relegated at the end of the 2013/14 season but bounced back to gain promotion last season with Bailly playing in 29 league matches.

Ronny Deila will be keen to see his new goalkeeper push Craig Gordon for the number one spot that was never under threat from Zaluska last season.

Zaluska was signed by Gordon Strachan in 2008 but in seven years never did enough to push for a regular place with Fraser Forster and Craig Gordon signed up after the departure of Artur Boruc.

Leo Fasan has played in the pre-season matches against Den Bosch and Dukla Prague but has never played a competitive first team match or been sent out on loan.

Celtic have used the Belgian market in recent times with Victor Wanyama probably the best example of scouting and developing a player. Last season Jason Denayer came in on loan from Manchester City with his fellow countryman Dedryk Boyata the first signing of the current transfer window.
