Saidy Janko will be in the Celtic development side that plays Raith Rovers tonight.
The former Manchester United defender joined Celtic during the close season and featured in the top team matches against Real Sociedad and Eibar.
Rather than travel to Iceland with the first team Ronny Deila has decided to give the 19-year-old a starting place in the side to face Raith Rovers in a match in which the home club will rename the main stand at Starks Park in honour of former chairman Turnbull Hutton.
Kieran Tierney and Jamie Lindsay will return to the development squad after featuring against Eibar with Stevie Frail looking forward to the clash following Saturday’s 2-1 win over Turriff United.
“We had a good test last week against Morton and we will get another tough game against Raith,” the Celtic coach admitted. “It’s another step towards fitness for the new season and we know that Raith will be ready for the match.
“They are a well established Championship side with good players and a good set up, their season starts on Saturday and they’ll want to go into that on the back of a win.
“We’ve had a good varied pre-season so far taking on different types of matches. Playing against Levante was a great experience, they changed their full team at half-time and put out two first XI’s but we acquitted ourselves well.
“Hopefully we’ll have u-19 Champions League matches to look forward to as well as our domestic fixtures and the Premier League International Cup.
“There’ll be a lot of demands made of the players and 90 minutes against a good Raith Rovers side will stand everyone in good stead for the season ahead.”

Watch Saidy Janko play against Raith last night, he will have to lose a few pounds before he will get considered for the first team. Can’t see Ronny Play him in many games this season as he looks so unfit, especially after what he said about Commons last year.
