Alan HuttonAlan Hutton was a twitter favourite as Scotland lost 1-0 to Georgia to put a major dent in Gordon Strachan’s hopes of reaching next summer’s European Championship finals in France.

As if the misery of losing  to Georgia wasn’t bad enough the naughty boys at Simply Spurs decided to dredge up a Vine clip of their former defender in action against Gibralter earlier this year.

Charging down the right flank at Hampden Hutton suddenly tumbled over falling dangerously into the face of a Gibralter defender.

The incident was picked up by Simply Spurs with the incident going viral within minutes while Scotland toiled in Tiblisi.

Strachan has barely had any criticism to deal with since taking over from Craig Levein but after losing a vital match the wise cracking quips were posted missing.

If you want a view from a football person who’s been in the game for 40 years then here goes,” he said. “Felt comfortable. They scored and put in a great defensive performance. We were a couple of feet or yards away from intricate moves to get through them.

We had to be brave. The lads were brave and but for a foot here or a yard here we would have got through. It didn’t happen, I’m hugely disappointed. Like a golfer who plays some decent stuff and misses the putts we were a couple of feet away.

We didn’t get the luck tonight to be perfectly honest. The group is still wide open, there are still nine points to play for.

“We can’t feel sorry for ourselves, we have another big game on Monday night that we have to get ourselves ready for and go to try and get points there.”

With Ireland beating Gibralter Scotland find themselves in fourth place as they prepare to host Germany at Hampden on Monday.

Lots of Celtic & Scotland fans feeling down this morning and with Celtic players including our captain playing it is just an unnecessary article. As for spurs sites. Who cares.
