Frank de Boer (Ajax)Within 24 hours of watching his side draw 1-1 with Molde Frank de Boer has been touting himself for a move to England.

Ajax were knocked out of the Champions League by Rapid Vienna at the third qualifying round and have drawn their opening matches in Europa League Group A with Celtic and Molde.

With Louis van Gaal, Dick Advocaat and Ronald Koeman currently in charge of Premier League side de Boer has signalled his availability should vacancies occur at Newcastle or Liverpool.

Steve McLaren and Brendan Rodgers are under severe pressure after poor starts to the season with the current Ajax boss using an interview with the BBC World Service to highlight his interest.

“They are fantastic clubs,” De Boer said. “Liverpool and Newcastle – with supporters behind them – it is a fantastic environment to coach but this year it is important for me to do well at Ajax and then we will see.”

Asked about moving to England he added:”Yes, I think every year it comes closer of course. I’m looking maybe for another adventure. If there is an interesting club that I think with my quality I can make that team better – if I can, than I will take that chance.”

Last night de Boer watched Ajax draw 1-1 with Molde in a fixture that he described as their most winnable awy match in the group.

While Celtic tackle the Norwegian side Ajax will take on Fenerbahce with none of the three fancied teams in the group registering a win in the group.

On Sunday Ajax take on PSV Eindhoven with the Amsterdam side sitting five points ahead going into the match at the Amsterdam ArenA.
