red cardRobbie Neilson has told the SFA that he won’t be silenced about commenting on referees.

The Hearts boss was hit with a two match suspended ban for comments criticising Willie Collum after Callum Paterson was sent off in a match against Hamilton.

Paterson’s red card was reduced to a yellow on appeal.

Despite admitting that Collum got the decision wrong Neilson had to face the SFA at Hampden where he was hit with the two match suspended touchline ban.

“Not at all, I will say what I believe I want to say,” the Hearts boss responded when asked if he would change his ways. “I’m not going to have any issues with that.

“I was disappointed at the outcome but you stand by it. They decided what they decided and we have to move on. It’s part of football, they make their decision and we have to accept it.”

John Hughes was also scheduled to appear before the SFA but no news has been released about his hearing over comments about Andrew Dallas.

After his sides match with Dundee the Caley Thistle boss said: “What I will say is that I don’t think the referee to ready for the top-flight. He might be one day but not on this evidence.”

Despite being charged by the SFA Hughes said: “I stick by my comments because my comments weren’t personal and we will be fighting the charge.

I don’t usually do that because I have no faith in the system or trust in the system and I think that is fair to say. Sometimes when you feel you’ve been hard done by, you go and fight.”

Was in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA (near the Grand Canyon) at the weekend, and when I heard our waiter speak, I enquired where he was from. “Scotland.” I know, but where? “Edinburgh.” Hibs or Hearts? “Hearts.” We had a good chat. Nice lad. Just wanted to mention that. Small world … 🙂
