Aidan NesbittKieran Tierney and Aidan Nesbitt will lead a group of six Celtic players in the Scotland u-19 squad to Germany this week.

Ricky Sbragia’s squad will be based in Stuttgart where they will take on the host nation, Mexico and the USA with the opening match coming on Wednesday against Mexico.

After starting their campaigns in the Premier League International Cup and UEFA Youth League Celtic are looking for a date to face Hamilton in the SFA Youth Cup.

Later this month six of Celtic’s u-17 side will be on international duty in Bulgaria as Scotland take on Macedonia, Italy and the host nation in u-17 European Championship qualifiers.

Goalkeeper Aiden McAdams will be joined by defenders Shaun Bowers and Wallace Duffy, midfielders Lewis Bell and Broque Watson with striker Jack Aitchison also selected.

Earlier today Celtic’s u-17 side won 8-2 away to Ayr United with Ross McLaughlin scoring a hat-trick, Aitchison and Michael Johnston notching doubles with Ireland’s Brandon Payne also on the scoresheet.
