Warburton MarkTwo faced Mark Warburton has complained about Alloa narrowing the pitch at the Indodrill Stadium then claimed that it’s not an issue.

The current Sevco chief seems to have inherited Ally McCoist’s ability for raising an issue out of thin air then claiming that it doesn’t matter.

In April 2012 after an SFA panel imposed a 12 month registration ban on Rangers (IL) rather than suspend the club McCoist told the Club website: “I found out the decision last night and I was shocked and absolutely appalled by the way this supposedly independent judicial panel was coming down on us in this form.

“Who are these people? I want to know who these people are. I’m a Rangers supporter and the Rangers supporters and the Scottish public deserve to know who these people are, people who are working for the SFA.”

As McCoist knew, Ibrox football administrator Andrew Dickson was present at the week long hearing and knew the names of the Judicial panel.

After it was revealed that Raith Rovers director Eric Drysdale was on the panel the Fife club had to step up security at Starks Park.

On a less serious note Warburton used a similar tactic to question the change in dimensions at Alloa- before stepping back.

Speaking today the former Brentford chief asked: “How can you change the dimensions of the pitch mid season? I find that incredible.

I’m a bit bemused by that. I’ve never seen it happen before. It’s not an issue, but I’m amazed it can happen mid-season.”

Responding to Warbo’s moan Alloa chairman Mike Mullraney explained: “Everyone knew the rules at the start of the season and if some don’t choose to read them it’s not my issue.

We waited until midway through the season, when every club had played at our ground once, before applying to change the dimensions.

It was magnanimous of us to wait until after our ninth home game in the league and if other clubs don’t like it, change the rules.”
