Stefan Johansen is determined to end a difficult season by picking up two trophies.

The midfielder picked up an ankle injury in Celtic’s Scottish Cup win over Morton with fears at the time that his season may be over.

Johansen was back on the bench for Saturday’s win over Kilmarnock and is fighting fit for the remainder of the season.

We are going to get those two trophies,” he told Norwegian website VG. “We have decided to do that, Now we are going to play every game like a cup final.

I trained for fully three to four days last week and was available for Saturday’s match. This week I have trained with the national team, and everything is as it should be.

I was a little sorry to get an injury a few weeks ago because I was really getting stronger. As I have said before, I am dissatisfied with the way I was playing in the autumn but in recent months I have felt my rhythm is better and that the body is good. I’m not worried about form.”

While the international break is a concern for most club managers in Johansen’s case the midfielder has the opportunity to get some match time under his belt to hone his fitness.

Johansen will pick up his 25th cap tonight against Estonia and has been virtually an ever present under Per Mathias Hogmo.

The close season will be a critical period in Johansen’s career as he enters the final year of his Celtic contract following his £2m move from Stromsgodset in January 2014.
