Celtic’s Glasgow Cup winners turned to twitter to share their delight after last night’s triumph at Ibrox.
Every player played their part, played to their potential from Aidan McAdams in goal through to Jack Aitchison in attack.
The four goals were shared between Mikey Johnston, Broque Watson, Shaun Bowers and Keiran Campbell with the young hoops clinical around goal.
Having lost three times and drawn once with the Murray Park starlets winning at Ibrox was a sweet feeling with the scale of the win a source of joy.
Aidan McAdams pulled off some great saves at crucial times and never put a foot, or glove, wrong all night and was especially impressive at the start of the second half as the home starlets pushed for the goal that would have opened the game up.

Centre half Wallace Duffy dominated alongside Stephen Welsh before switching to right-back after Bowers was injured.

Joining in the theme of the night, left-back Daniel Church, who played in last season’s 2-0 win at Hampden, was thrilled to make it a pair of winners medals.Â

Mikey Johnston opened the scoring and enjoyed the next three just as much. By far the most skill-full player on the park he put in a real shift for the team tormenting his opponents with his willingness to get on the ball and commit them into challenges, some of which were legal.Â

Broque Watson doubled the lead before half time, converting a rebound after Jack Aitchison had created chaos in the home defence coming in off the left flank.
Aitchison put in a selfless shift and was happy to help himself to two assists. A late substitute in last season’s final he played a full part in this years trophy success.

Substitute Kyle Barr ended his hoops career in the best possible manner, coming on for Aitchison, living the dream that will forever be elusive to millions.Â
