Lawwell BankierRonny Deila watched another listless Celtic performance in the 1-1 draw with Ross County then promised to have a calm week and fun ahead of going to Tynecastle on Sunday.

Any hopes of a ‘bounce’ from the announcement of Deila’s departure were killed stone dead as the champions elect floundered through the first half with the team showing just three changes from the one that started at Hampden.

It was no surprise when Stewart Murdoch equalised Leigh Griffiths first half strike with the point taking Celtic nine points ahead of Aberdeen with four matches left to play.

Before the match fans in the Green Brigade section unfurled banners slating the empty hearts and empty dreams with the 90 minutes that followed providing another turn off for the fans that bothered turning up.

Afterwards Deila’s comments reflected the flatness of the performance as he went through the predictable soundbites associated with his tenure.

Typically he said: “It’s the end of the season, a lot of people are getting tired but we have to stick together, work hard and have fun.

There have been a lot of things other than football this week and that affects the players.”

Deila added: “The first-half was okay but the second was not. In the end 1-1 was a fair result.” “We want to have better performances and I’m sure we’ll get them.”

The whole view was that before the weekend we needed seven points but we still have a chance to win the title next weekend

We are nine points ahead and Aberdeen lost so it’s not like you can just go and play every team and win.”
